Terms of Service
The contract between you and Bassline Music. Read these before signing up, by registering or using the service, you agree to them.
Last updated: 26 April 2026
1. Who these terms are between
These terms ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "your") and Bassline Music ("we", "us", "our"), based in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the service, you confirm you've read, understood and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to register.
- If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian's permission to use a paid plan.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account credentials secure.
3. The service
Bassline Music is a music-streaming service offering UK Bassline, Speed Garage, Organ House and related underground genres. We reserve the right to change, add, or remove features at any time. Where a change materially reduces the value of a paid plan, we'll give reasonable notice and the option to cancel for a pro-rata refund.
4. Accounts
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- You must not share your password or sell, transfer or sublicense your account.
- One stream at a time. A subscription entitles a single person to stream from one device at any one time. We enforce this technically: when a second device starts playback under your account, the first device pauses automatically. Repeated concurrent-playback attempts, or any indication of credentials being shared (e.g. simultaneous logins from clearly-different households), may result in suspension or termination under §12.
- If you suspect unauthorised use, change your password and let us know immediately.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms (see §12).
5. Subscriptions, payments and cancellation
Plans
- Free: limited streaming, no card required.
- Basic (£4.99/month): unlimited streaming.
- Pro (£9.99/month): everything in Basic, plus DJ Mixer, Party Mode, early access and track requests.
Prices include VAT where applicable. We may change prices on 30 days' notice; existing subscriptions keep their old price until the next renewal date after the notice period.
Billing
- Paid plans renew automatically on the same calendar day each month.
- Payments are processed by Stripe under their own terms. We never see your card details.
- If a payment fails, we'll retry; if it keeps failing your access drops back to Free until you update payment.
Cancellation and refunds
- You can cancel any time from the dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel a new subscription. By starting to stream, you expressly acknowledge that performance has begun and your right to cancel is lost, this is a standard digital-content provision, also used by Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.
- If you've been billed in error, contact us within 60 days and we'll refund.
6. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Copy, record, download, screen-capture, transcode, redistribute, sublicense, sell or publicly perform any track on the service.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to access the service in any way other than the intended user interface.
- Use the service to harass, abuse, dox, threaten, or harm any other user (your responsibilities under the Online Safety Act 2023 also apply).
- Upload or post content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm or hate.
- Bypass, attempt to bypass, or assist others in bypassing any tier-gating, paywall or access control. (You can't, but don't try.)
- Use bots, automation, or multiple accounts to inflate plays, votes, charts, likes, or comments.
- Submit deceptive payment information or carry out chargeback fraud.
7. User-generated content
You retain ownership of any comments, playlist names, display names, or other content you create on the service. By posting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and moderate that content as needed to run the service.
You are solely responsible for what you post. We may remove content that breaches these Terms or applicable law, and may suspend or ban accounts that repeatedly violate the rules. We comply with our duties under the Online Safety Act 2023 to act on illegal content reports.
8. Intellectual property
All audio, artwork, logos, trade marks, software and content on the service belong to Bassline Music or its licensors. Except for the limited streaming licence granted while your account is active, no rights are transferred to you.
The "Bassline Music" name, logo and any associated marks are trade marks. You may not use them without our prior written permission.
9. Copyright complaints (DMCA-style)
If you believe content on the service infringes your copyright, email hello@basslinemusic.co.uk with: (a) your name and contact details, (b) the work you claim has been infringed, (c) a link to the allegedly infringing material, (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised, and (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are the rights-holder or authorised to act for them. We will investigate and respond.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every possible attack. Streaming quality may vary with your connection. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under English law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
11. Limitation of liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period (or £100 if you're on the Free plan).
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill.
- Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
12. Suspension and termination
- You can terminate your account at any time by deleting it (see Help) or asking us to.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity.
- On termination, your access ends and any pre-paid period is forfeit unless we've terminated without good cause, in which case we'll refund the unused portion.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date counts as acceptance.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their local courts as required by law.
